The way I understand the VCT system on some of our cars it is kinda like a baby and not as effective or advanced vtec, in the sence that it advances timing. I was wondering if there are any people here that have come up a mod for the solenoid. to advance the timing faster/ farther anything. thanks

Can't. The VCT RETARDS the timing under deceleration for emissions purposes.

The only thing that sucked for me was trying to install cam gears. Other than that just one more thing to break (and it will).

Had to replace mine. Part itself cost $400.

It is just as hard as doing a timing belt change (that is part of the process). The solenoid sits over the exhaust cam.
