Hey guys. I have a 99 SE with a 2.0 VCT motor. I have been looking around here for awhile before signing up. Everyone on here seems to be real helpful.
I am looking for a cold air intake for my car. I haven't found anywhere that makes one to fit on my car. A guy I work with has a ZX2 and seems to think that the intake off of his car would fit onto mine, or that I would have to fashion one out of differnt parts. You guys know anything about this?
And if I am posting in the wrong area or this topic has been discussed before, just point me in the right direction. Any help you guys can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm going to look into making my own intake setup, go here this actually inspired me to try and make my own intake setup, just be creative look around parts stores and find what you can. Me I'm going to use those silicone/rubber type couplers and 2.5-3 inch exhaust tubing from autozone to do mine, and get a cone filter, and make a heat sheild for it, also be sure to try and get the filter as far from the engine you can, so it don't suck in heat. Good luck.
Also I forgot to mention, they have high temp paint to use on the exhaust piping too, its like 4.99 a can at autozone.

You just use the straight sections of pipe & then use the 45 & 90 degree couplers when you need a bend. Easy.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Your friend is kinda right. a zx2 intake would fit if you relocated the battery. or a focus short ram fits well, you just need to buy somthing and make it work.
p.s. $20 shipped off ebay. theres tonnes.

Any of the shorty Focus/Escort intakes will pull in hot air. Go with the SleeperZ intake. It's cheap, easy to do, and a CAI.

Just check out the sticky at the top of this forum.
