after a quick search and nothing comming up, i was wondering how one should go about putting an aftermarket seat in a pre 98 contour se? My drivers seat has been squeaking and driving me nuts, but since my current commute is only 4 minutes of actual driving, it is bareable, but it will soon be an hour+ so comfy seat that doesnt sueak and move around would be a plus. I had my seat unbolted a few days ago, and noticed that the seat belt is mounted to the bottom of the seat, i actully couldnt get the seat out of the car since i couldnt get the seat belt off with out taking off the entire rail. These are power seats, but i dont care if i lose them. So any if anyone has done this to their contour, and has any advice, or a good source for quality seats thanks in advance!

There's a T-50 torx bolt that attaches the belt to the seat.

I noticed it, but since the rail was in the way, i couldnt actully get to the bolt. So is there a place I can relocate the seatbelt to??

I have not but i would think you could just switch the brackets on the bottom of seats to go from your stock steats and switch those brackets to your after market seats and it could just go back into the car no problem. It is just a guess, I did it on a honda a little while back.
3L process done
