After 8 years and 89,200 blissful miles in my SVT Contour, I am moving on. I took delivery of a 2006 Mazda6 Grand Sport wagon (MTX, of course, and NO ROOF RACK) on Monday. I certainly miss the 'Tour, but so far the Mazda6 has been such a comparable driving experience that it's been an easy transition. I just have to go through the pain of the first paint chip, etc. all over again.

I haven't posted here in quite some time, but I still value the CEG community for what it is: A group of folks who appreciate a vastly underappreciated car. Keep the faith! I sure wish Ford would... http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Columns/articleId=109512

If you're looking for a pristine, stock 1998.0 SVT 'Tour in the Denver area, give me a shout. stuff(at)urbl(dot)net.

Cheers,

Garrick
