Between starting pitching and now Thome in the line up the Sox' chances to win it all in '06 are probably as good as the Cubs' chances in '06 through '15 combined. Maybe the Cubs need a second team doctor just for their pitchers. Don't get me wrong, since the Sox won and got something of a city-wide group hug I'd like to see the Cubs do well also, but I'm not gonna hold my breath, the Cards and Astros won't be easily passed for now. (As an aside: Is that sack of whitey-one-bites empty already?)
