A couple of friends and I are going to hop in the SVT and head down to Flordia for a week this summer and was wondering if there was anything significant (car shows, SVTOA meets/cruses, ect) going on? We're already planning on heading to Daytona to check out the speedway, then we were also planning on going to Clearwater beach for a bit, but that still leaves a lot of extra time to do whatever the hell we want . I don't suppose there's any trackdays coming up that I may be able to get in on? And of course you Southeastern guys will be planning a meet while I'm down there right?

Dates would help us to narrow down some activities and fill you in on events.
i.e., SVTOA will have their annual Sebring run. For about $300 you can burn up the track.
SVTOA also has regular events in the new Homestead Motor Speedway.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Thats the thing, we haven't set up dates yet. We want to see whats going on in the area to set up what 2 weeks we'll be taking off from work. If its ok with some family down there, we'll be staying about an hour north of Tampa. An SVTOA event would be awesome seeing that I've only been to one autocross and it was extremely fun, but I want a little more speed than 40 MPH

That is so true. I hate being behind some old person from the Northern states.
Ybor is pretty fun at night if you find the right clubs to hang in. I haven't been to SVTOA before, maybe one day.

That's all it is. Old folks, stupid people, and a few CEG members. That's it.
Is my car for sale? PM me if you're in South FL.
