I almost bought that red top optima till i went to wal mart and theyve got that 2 yr warrantee deal....I save the reciept and bring mine back in every year and pay the 6 dollar pro rate to exchange it. I love customer service.

Odyssey batteries tend to be stronger and last longer than the Optimas.

A friend of the family and interstate battery dealer only uses Enersys Odyssey batteries in his car. I returned 3 Optimas (all under warranty) over the last 6 years. I started to do some research and found what he had been telling me all along, Optima batteries seem to have below average longevity in cold weather climates.

motocraft....6 year warrenty. My last one lasted till this past summer. It was the original one in the car (11 years and 160K miles). Seen lots of days and nights at -40 and it had my system in it for a year as well.
