I'm just trying it for awhile to see if people can follow rules. So far its working out pretty well, but the forum mod needs to police it pretty heavily because some people tend to forget the rules and post incorrectly.

I know this doesn't belong in here, but since your discussing it, whats the difference between posting prices in your signature and posting prices in local sales threads or threads in general?

The consensus way back when was that signatures were ok to have for sale or want ads. Since the forum software enforces a fairly small limit on the size of signatures and doesn't allow pictures, the mods/admins felt that no harm would be done by letting people post short ads. Most of the time, because signatures are kept so short, people have to say something like "check my ad in the classifieds" anyway.
For the record, I don't discriminate on what the ad contains. It was explained by Lance that classified ads weren't allowed... that's it. That, much like other issues including posting of girls in bikinis in pics & vids, is something that was made very clear to me on what to do by the owner of this site and are things I've been enforcing despite the opinions of others (sorry Kev). I also understand that times change, and it would actually be nice to know where he stands. If he says its ok to allow ads in local forums, I'm cool with it, but rule #13 is still on the books and needs to be updated.

You have to forgive the mods in this section Kev....
Poor Mike comes on here once a month and tries to clean up Hectors mess in that short time period so doesnt have time to see whats going on the rest of the site that much..........
