I found that my water pump belt was sqeaky becasue the teeth are dried and cracked. So I went to advanced to order the belt and it was under idle/waterpump belt?

Does the secondary belt really have something to do with the idle? Because I still have idle problems that are unresolved and if the belt does have something to do with the idle(not sure how it would) it will be interesting to see the effects once I put it on.

Water pump/idler pulley belt. They left out the "r".

"Does the secondary belt really have something to do with the idle?" No.

Also make sure that the tensioner is working. If it is stuck and not adding tension that can cause the belt to wear fast.

no at 75500 miles on the orignal motorcraft belt, it was just dried to a crispy non-flexible rubber. The new one is on and it seems fine now.
