I was tweeking my settings on my subwoofers today, kind of displeased with the way it was sounding, trying to find the right settings for my music, I decided to head into my trunk and have a listen and noticed that the sound was getting to be pretty poor quality, I think my subs are worn out, and I cannot blame them they are over 6 years old, I think they served their purpose. I think its time out with the old and in with the new..

Currently I have a Rockford Fosgate 360a2 Amp, I know not the most powerful but its just the right amount of power for me... The subs are 2 10 inch Earthquake subs, I dont know the exact model... Either way, what are two really good 10 inch subs for a decent price that would sound good with my fosgate amp?

The question should not be "what will sound good with your amp", it should be "what will sound good with the enclosure you already have".

Unless you are planning to also buy/build a new sub enclosure to match the drivers you get, that is a much more important "combination" to care about than what amp you have to power them.

I guess this means there is more I need to know, the encloser I have is fairly basic, it looks like a Triangluar prism. Pretty friggan big, and its not ported.

I got a 10in. Rockford HE2 in my tour, i bought mine brand new on ebay for $100. They are 400wRMS 800wMAX. I bought a 4x8 sheet of 3/4 MDF and built a custom box. I got a 1800w kenwood amp for $230.00 from millionbuy.com and this system sound awesome. Im thinkin of putting another 10 in to bump even more.

Take a good look at the cones,if the foam edges are cracked that would explain the sound. Also, I have found my 14 year old MTX box will not produce bass if it's really cold (below 30 degrees) until the car warms up..The cones suspension gets stiff. Make sure both woofers are actually working, maybe one is blown or rubbing the voice coil, and all wiring is good. I imagine you crank the tunes a bit more than me.

Just my opinion but Memphis all the way subs in all price ranges great warranty and great quality.
