Have a 96 contour will the body parts from a 98 swap out with it? LIke the finders, bumbers, ext?

some yes, some yes with some work
the whole front end needs to be changed if you want to use any of those parts

to my knowledge, the fenders bumper, and hood are all different. you'd have to replace them all with 98+ parts for them to fit.
dont forget headlights too.

what about the back bumper and panels? Thanks guys. I have a guy who will give me a 98 just to get ride of it and I have a 96 just trying to see if I should take it.

The front is the hardest part. The mirrors are slightly differnt and the rear door sails are different. The back bumper is easy to swap as is the trunk but the brake lights are different. The pre-98 rear deck lid looks better IMO. If you put a post-98 trunk lid on a pre-98 you have to have the matching lights, and visa versa.

you dont have too..i never switched mine out...if you switch trunklids the wiring is a little different..the front isnt really that hard,you just have to be creative and persistant,it will fit..just keep telling yourself that this is my car now,its a 96!!! i did the front end swap,if you have all the parts i'd say do it
