Wondering what mods get the best return for the money. I got the exhaust aspect covered but besides swapping out for the 3.0l are there any mods that can be done to the motor that will give a significant improvement ?

Getting it an Xcal. GB going on right now in the GB forum. I wondered if that car really had a 3" exhaust when I was under it last fall. It was freakin huge. Too big for a car w/o forced induction. I'd reduce it to a 2.5 all the way though and get it tuned with the Xcal and leave the car alone unless you swap in a 3L. I know it has an SCT badge so I'm guessing it was tuned already. Looks like the car is pretty complete. Just get a nice mandrel bent 2.5" exhaust and call it a day.

I didn't get anything with the xcal. Was it supposed to have a cd or is the software built in to the unit and you just plug it into the usb. Also any adjustments or settings that you know of that can be tweaked. Car seems to be geting horible gas mileage even when cruising tried to put it back to the stock setting but the cel came on.

An xcal flashes the PCM. You can't change the settings w/o an xcal and a laptop. What do you mean you tried changing the settings?

What I meant was that the unit I have gives you two performance tunes or the stock setting. I tried to put it back to the stock setting and started getting the cel.

Probably because he has the rear 02's turned off because the car has headers. Other modifications might have been made in conjunction with the mods. Ask the previous owner. Not sure how bright he is though.
