i just ordered my spec stage 1 and waz wondering what the break in time is how many miles? way to shift rpm range..i only got the 2.5 with a few mods nothing major yet.

Dont beat on it... Drive like a normal person, not a racecar drive... I avoided downshifting...
Doesn't it call out for a 1,000 mile break in or something, I dont know, I cant remember.

ok that is all i really needed to know thank you for the quick reply.i just spent $1600.60 on a rebuilt tranny with 70,000 miles on it and a spec clutch resurfing of my flywheel and the install don't really wanna screw it up!! been with out the tour for a week now .i am really starting to miss the sound of the intake and exhuast. not to forget my safc

SPEC actually states on a piece of paper in the package that it takes 500 miles of city driving to break in fully.
Just baby it during that time and you will have no problems.

I thought that the break-in period was only as long as it took you to get it installed?

i am sure you all know how hard it is to keep it from wot. my town is full of ricer fags. they just don't respect the tour at all till they see nothin but tail lights and me waving as i blow past them. lol

yea i do that to this one kid who thinks his 92 civic hatch is fast. thing got like 90 hp stock..lol i am good at pissing off those people.

That's dumb. I was with a buddy of mine in his modded 95 Firehawk. Side by side with a C4 Vette that the kid borrowed from his Dad. The nerd thought he was tough, so he revved his engine, not knowing what was about to be unleashed on him. Green light, and he turns right. What a tool.
