I have a 98 SVT with 85K . miles , is it to late to put a SC (vortech) on with out rebuilding the bottom end ? I"ve had it snice 30K miles , mostly taking easy since .

Do a compression check...
It's mostly the condition of the engine based upon your maint.
I don't know that I would boost a 98 with that high of mileage because it doesn't have the revised ring lands. I say go for it...but have a 3L on an engine stand ready to be dropped in...

Nope. Not at all if it doesn't burn oil.

I put a S/C on my Zetec at 120k or so miles.

I turboed at over 130,000 so yeah no worries check your compression and join the forced induction lifestyle.

It's all about how you care for your car man. I put nitrous on my car back in June and have been thru 16 bottles since then. It currently has 116,xxx+ miles, and I checked the compression two weeks ago and this is what they read...
