my battery went bad today and is it worth putting a optima battery in i have a 99 csport 2.5

You should go for a yellow top or blue top if your running any additional battery killers in your car such as a system, neons or something like that.

Either way you need a euro optima so that the posts line up to how our cars pos. and negative wires are set up/

you should mount that optima in your trunk. run the wires through your subframe connectors.

just get a motocraft battary. Mine lasted 10 years and the last year of that it had my system in it....1100 watt amp, 500 watt amp, computer hard drive. And it ALWAYS started when it was like -40 to -50 below....never had to plug the car in.

No, you need to get the 34R to make it fit. The terminals are reversed so the cables reach.
