Okay, so I was exiting a traffic circle today, and just happend to hit a big hole on the corner.

So I think I twisted my passenger LCA. The steering wheel is turned about 1/8 to the right when the car is going straight.

Rim and tie rod look straight, so I'm almost positive it has to be the bent LCA. Can't get under it to look at the ball joint, but I bet it's bent right there.

Anyway, I'm very irritated now. Stupid things like this always happen to me!

Now I just gotta figure out about getting the parts to fix it!

Not the only problem that came up today... car is running real rough at 750rpm. Horrible mileage and smells like paint thinner (or running REALLY rich). I'm thinking either a spark plug or wire failed.

Ok, since it will take at least 2 weeks to get a LCA shipped from the states, I found a 96 Contour at the junkyard right off base.

I didn't notice when I looked at the 96, but I'm pretty sure it has the 4 bolt setup, as does my SVT.

So I should be able to put this on my car, right?

If the bushings are shot, it should at least hold me over until a new LCA arrives...

Now I'm searching MEG to see if they use 4 bolt on their ST200s. So far I've seen a few posts about a 3 bolt!

Looks like I may be in luck

Apparantly the ST200 LCAs are 4 bolt, and look like Contour ones. Screw the one at the junkyard if I can get one at the local dealer (and yes, I'm expecting a big price!).

Well I got one (and yeah, definately brought the VAT form... didn't want to pay the 16% tax!).

They charged me, get this, 254ΓΆβ??Β¬ ($304 YIKES ) for a 99+ ST200 LCA... Little expensive, but it's either get that, or wait 2+ weeks for one to ship in from the states.

Looks the same to me, anyone notice anything out of the ordinary?

I have 1 in my garage which I'm in the process of modifying for boxing and lightening. Yours looks identical.

Gather the rr tire missed the pothole?

I guess it must have... I can tell it's on the front b/c when it's slick, you can feel weird sliding thru the steering wheel. I had a bent rear control arm, and this is different!

I looked at the hole again, and just looks like big trucks ate up the soil at the edge and made a rut.

I'll find out exactly what happend on Saturday.

Oh, I have your tubular arms on the back, so maybe it did hit the rear (but survived better).

When you have the strut apart make sure you check the upper spring seat.I hit a curb and it bent the seat along with the LCA.
