I changed the pads and rotors on my wifes 99 Contour SE last week. Went really well. I put Brembo replacement rotors and the Hawk Street pads from Tire Rack. The only tricky part was setting the outside pad. There is a little lip on the bracket that the pad needs to set into before you can slip the rotor into the caliper. Once we figured that out, it was easy as pie.

The first time I did a rotor replacement was on a 92 Grand Marquis in a parking garage with a 40W table lamp as my only light. This replacement went easier.

The Hawks are a little louder, but they seem to bite a little harder. Nice. I saved us a few hundred bucks.
