Well my car began working its dimming lights effect on the highway one night last week. I predicted the alternator was on its way out. Two hours later the charge light stayed on at idle. I still managed to drive from Pearson to Guelph and back to Hamilton. At least I got the warning signs and I wasn't stranded on the side of the 401 in the middle of nowhere. Had the alternator refurbished the other day, car was fixed in less than 5 hours. Not bad considering I've been hearing people quote out this job in the hundreds of dollars.

I think it was $175 for the alternator and $200-$300 in labour..

it hurt the mod budget

my alternator is the next part I'm suspecting will fail, since it's one of the very few parts I haven't replaced yet. Oh well, probably won't have the car much longer, probably till April at the latest.

She currently sits in the driveway with 298 055km.
