Hey there. I am sure all of you have seen my Open Track and HPDE pictures of my Silver 1999 Contour SVT. I have been running open track and autocrosses since 1999 but never anything serious. Well this year I want to compete with my SVT in Nasa's Time Trial program. I really want to get started and licensed and TT is a great way to do it. The way my SVT classes out I should be pretty competitive. I am in the process of re-doing the suspension and need some pictures. Vetrans and sleep deprived newbies, bust out your collections! I need nictures of the Mirko built Contour and Cougar. Preferrebly the missing "build pictures." Like cage and suspension, especially the REAR suspension. The Capaldi Cougar had are similar setup IIRC. So basically I have searched EVERYWHERE on the Gallery, Mirko's site, Capaldi's site etc and it seems all the detailed pictures are gone or down. Thanks a lot! I'll post pictures of all the progress shortly!

Are you going to be fabbing new suspension components, or using some bolt-on parts like Koni struts? What are the rules for your class?

Didn't Chris Wong (ctamotorsports) buy the mirko car? I THINK he did, and if so, you should contact him. But I'm probably wrong.

just email mirko or capaldi, they would probably just send you the pictures if they still have them...

Do yourself a favor and save the time and money by buying an ex Bondurant or world challenge car. You'll sink WAAY too much time and money into converting one to make it a worthwhile endeavor. The last WC car I saw around here went for $15-20K with spare parts and an extra motor.
As far as I know CTA helped the guy out that bought the world challenge car so you might contact them to see if it might be for sale. Those things get passed around every couple years.

Well i've done a bit of reading on this, essentially it is his choice on how far he can go. With your knowledge of contour upgrades (what really effects our cars and what helps little) I think you can build a pretty damn competitive car, but certainly not a top runner. Certainly driver capability is a huge factor. If I were you I would be greatly worried about the acura integras and bmw 330s. There are a few others that will make for interesting competition, but I think there are a few cars that can gain an edge simply on being more responsive to modifications, and their greater aftermarket.

That car is owned/was purchased by the same people that bought the old Mirko car. I saw both in person on the track and the Mumm car was definatly the better of the two.
I can't recall if they decided to sell the Mumm car now as well. Last thing I heard was that they were looking into the Honda Challenge and that was from my brother at one of the regional events at Mosport (I was busy dropping my 3L in that weekend).
