I was planning to change my sparkplugs and wires. I pulled a plug wire to see if I needed a special wrench and I found oil around the sparkplug. Pulled every plug, each one had oil around it. Particuly cylinder 1 (which misfired last week). I wondering if the valve cover gasket is leaking. The oil looks fresh too, leaving me to believe someone was in there before I bought it. Right now I see no point in changing plugs and wires until I track down the oil leak. I'm probably gonna drive it a little while just to see if my CEL (misfire) stays off.

I just checked the oil. The oil is down. It's still in the Ok range, but it's never used oil before. I haven't added any oil yet.

Change the plugs and tighten to tourqe spec. Clean excess oil in plug area. Watch closely to see if it comes back. Plugs will misfire when in oil bath for sure.
Check to see if the valve cover is leaking or cracked.

It's time to change your valve cover gasket. The spark plug wells will fill when the gasket leaks.
