What he said. If you're gonna put 18's, you should drop the car anyways. As far as rubbing goes, it's all in the ofset you get. My 18's don't rub at all...well, apparently they did rub on the plastic shield on the inside of the tire, but it rubbed a nice hold in it and there's no more contact.
