How many litres of oil does a 98 CSVT take?

Lots of discussion on this subject on the boards here.. but because of oil issues (oil not getting to the engine and seizing).. I remember 6.5L of Mobil One is highly recommended.. But I'm sure there are SVT owners here who can correct me if I'm wrong.. I use about 6L of Mobil one per oil change

6-6.5L is about right, the contour suffers from a terrible oil pan design and on long sweeping right hand turns you can starve the engine of oil... something you might not like to happen.

hmm, i sure have to ask how much the garage is putting in when they do the oil changes. I dont have proper facilities, so in winter months i take it too the garage...no problems yet

It's actually written on the car to put in six litres instead of 5.5. And the dealership I use lets you in to watch them do it, which is nice. And it helps to make friends with the techs
