However, I find it odd that I'm running rich with the short-ram intake...
Shouldn't I be running lean? I guess the timing must be off a bit...

Car runs rich from the factory (not too much) for added "safety" factor.
Your car may run rich with the short ram because the MAF is reading more air so it compesates with more fuel.

Ohhhh. Ok. I knew the MAF metered the air-fuel ratio, but I didn't think it would compensate ALL the way. Thanks for the info!
