Ok here's the deal. I was driving around and pulled into the bank and waited in the drive-thru line for about 10 minutes. After I got my money, I do what I normally do, ease out then gun it into the street right next to the Ford dealership. This time however, right after I let off the gas, I heard a loud "BANG!" come from my exhaust. At first I was a little worried, then I remember hearing the exact same thing on older EVOs and on some high-horsepower turbo cars.

What I want to know is should I be worried. I know that on turbocharged cars, backfiring is used in-between gearshifts to keep the turbine spooled up. Is it detrimental for my car to do that? It hasn't done it since, but once again, should I be concerned or happy? Thanks in advance...

well is ur car moded with anything? Do u still have ur cat in the exhaust system? It probelm was just a little build up of extra fuel from when u were getting money from the bank.

I still have an entirely stock exhaust. Cat and everything.

When was the last time the spark plugs were changed? And when was the last time the throttle body was cleaned?

Spark Plugs were changed out 3K ago for NGK Laser Platinums , they are gapped to the correct spacing.
I clean the throttle body every other week.

Bucking?I never had an issue with that...

My car SHAAAAKKKKEEESSS in drive while stopped, but doesn't do it so bad in neutral...

That is afterfire if it's out the exhaust. Backfire is out the intake manifold.

I'd say there is some sorta problem, maybe that link'll help ya. My scort does it all the time, but that's because the timing is very advanced.
