Here's my set up: Contour 98 V6 MTX, 64,000 miles on Yoko Guardex 720 205 60R 15 (50% tread left, maybe less?)

We dont have a lot of snow here but tons of rain...

My question is: Is it just me or this car set up is very sensitive on rain? Basically, I fight with it to keep it on the road as the wheels spin on highway cruising speed (feels just like understeer but on wet pavement and going on a straight line...)

I am not convinced this is caused by the tires alone and I'm thinking something may be loose at the front end? Is there anything I should know before I get really tired of this and get 4 Michelin Hydro Edge?

check all suspension components for wear and replace as needed and have an alignment done

only time I have had the wheels spin on teh highway was when hitting puddles of water and hydroplaning

its a good all around handling car in any weather imho
