can you buy the metal support that hold the svt front bumper to the frame of the car,you know that thin rod like piece on the bottom of each wheel well

most likely isn't the same but my fathers 95 has support rods to the lower corners of the bumper

maybe you can get those and make those work or maybe they are the same

Do a search for the part numbers for the front bumper supports , Chris . I know they're on the forums somewhere- that's how I got the numbers when ordered mine . I'll see if I can dig up the number for ya in the meantime .

I would've had it for you sooner , but I wanted to give a quick look through my receipts first . In case you don't want to look at the link , I'll post the part# again - F8RZ-17765-AA . Same part for either side , BTW .

You have to order them for a standar SE/GL contour, maybe even 95-97 years though not sure on that.

I totally forgot about that mod.
I was dissatisified when I moved from a standard 95SE to a SVT and found the front bumper more flimsily attached, so I went out and ordered those right away and installed them. I've had them on since new and until this moment I forgot all about the SVTs not coming with them.

By the way, they are the right length. Standard contours use the same bracket, SVTs just didn't use them.

Cos it's a 98!

You can make the brackets out of stuff from Home Depot (galvanised metal strapping) in like 10 minutes.
