OP delor05 Newbie D Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 2 Alabama	My college kid has a 97 Contour SE. We have a problem with the wiring systems. There seems to be shorting out of different parts and the wires coating is flaking off exposing the bare wires. Isn't this a fire hazzard? I need a little helping advice on what to do here. Was there ever a recall on the wiring harness?

Don't bother re-posting another thread.. a mod will move this one when they see it. Click the "search" button at the top, choose the appropriate forum (troubleshooting, or general, or Duratec maintenance, etc) and type in wiring harness recall, or something like that.
