youll have to find a used vortech, whether it be the revised unit or the crappy jackshaft design. Every now and then one comes up on ebay or the CEG classifieds.

The supercharger kit blows - poorly designed by Vortech and less of a performer compared to the ADC turbo kit.
You should do a search in this forum for "supercharger" to reads the hundereds of posts about this inferior option.

According to Vortech you can still buy their kit new. Here is a copy of an email I received back from them when I asked about it:

To Whom This May Concern:
I heard that Vortech has a supercharger for 98-00 Ford SVT Contours, however I am unable to find the product listed on your website. Do you still manufacture it or was it discontinued? Please let me know.
Thanks,
Michael Ries

so the supercharger is not nearly as good as the turbo, i figured as much, i am going to go with the adc turbo for my other tour, but i was looking to get some better performance out of my svt everyday driver without dropping 6k, thought a supercharger might be the answer, is the supercharger just a waste of money?

From what i've read if you like headaches, minimal power gains, and alot of potential problems go for the s/c kit.
there are plenty of things you can do you your EDD CSVT without using FI and still make it quick.

If you could get a S/C for cheap...I'd totally go for it.

That would be VERY nice now wouldn't it. But could you handle all that power? I'll tell you that I wouldn't turn down a supercharger if the price was right, they DO WORK WELL, just for the retail price of the vortech it wasn't worth it when the turbo was close in price and outperformed it.
