Are these still available anywhere?

I just replaced both cyllinders for the trunk and thought that mod.

What are you referring to when you say a "trunk pop spring?"

I swear I just replied about this not to long ago.

If you're wondering why the trunk doesn't go up when you release it, that's how it's supposed to be.

My 1981 Cadillac Coupe Deville was like this too... you pop the trunk and you had to physically go pull up on the trunk. Same way with hatchbacks and wagons...

If you didn't mean that, then disregard!

Unless you mean this:
Trunk Spring #
I don't remember my SVT or my GL having this... maybe I just didn't notice it!

Ok, searched some more, apparantly it's a mod that pops the trunk open...

Well, doesn't pop it open all the way, but at least enough so it unlatches.

Do you have the part number for those cylinder/shock looking thingys? Mine has no support at all and always ends up getting slammed

Looking back through my receipts I found what might be the correct part number. I say might be because it is described only as "spring" The time of purchase and price sounds about right. So try this number and see if it is still available.

That is exactly where you find the correct part number for the Trunk Spring. Don't use the old part number. It's still available. I ordered mine from the Ford Dealership 4 months ago. They charged me $25 though. It didn't come with the screw. You might need to get a small self tapping sheet metal screw for it.

Every since after I installed that spring, my trunk has always opened up for me with no problems.

I have this number printed on my old trunks struts. I don't know if it's the part number though:

94BB-F406A10-AC

I replaced my old trunk struts with some other ones in better shape at a junkyard.
