When you get flat spots from sitting for awhile will they round out again after you start driving?

No the tires will be shot. Dont worry the car has to sit for a while and have low tire pressure. I would recommend to fill the tires a bit over pressure and jack the car up. Make sure the tires dont touch the ground. Its better to do this....than buying new tires!

I could see if you let the tires sit for years they could get damaged, but flat spots go away 99% of the time trouble free. I guess damage would come from super low pressures [flat] with weight on the tire for some time.

I ran super swapers on my truck for a couple years. I got the regular TSLs, which I think were nylon belted tires. They got flat spots overnight. In colder weather, it was terrible. Those things didnt round back out for like 5+ miles if it was real cold overnight. Steel belted tires (just about every single tire made these days) dont get flat spots unless they sit for a WHILE! The flat spots will go away after a mile or two, no biggie.

So if the tire has been sitting while FLAT or little pressure for a while, I might worry. Otherwise, youre fine.

i really don't think this is an issue with modern tires, just roll the car around alittle in the winter and you will be all set

or you can get the car off the ground but you don't want to let the suspension hang

flat spots used to be a major issue with polyglass tires.
as was said before, modern radials should not be a problem.

Exactly, you just want the stress off the suspension. What I meant by the tires not touching the ground it to jack the car up so the suspension is stress free. Most of the times its when the tires arent touching the ground. They can touch the ground as long as a there isnt much pressure on them.
