any of you guys near laplata/waldorf have any mechanical know how.i had perfectly fine running svt until i broke brake booster cable in intake than i opened throttle body to fish pieces out and put a little fuel injector cleaner on plate now all i get is grinding sound from my starter.did engine lock up on me?

Even pieces of plastic in the intake wouldn't lock the engine. Unless you REALLY sprayed the injector cleaner in there and hydrolocked the engine.

More I think about it, you may have a dying battery? Is it more like a "clak-a-clak-a-clak" sound of the solenoid engaging but not having enough juice to turn the starter? Try a jump- Or charge the battery. If it won't turn with a good charge, you starter may have fried, or the engine's locked up. The ladder means pull all six plugs out and crank the engine to get all the crap outta the cylinders.

I blew the starter on mine, sounded like a dead battery at first but ultimately was the starter. Pretty quick fix. THe starter wasn't back it was the gear that grabs the cam.
