I have a question.

I just swapped out my summer tires and noticed that the front tires were worn very badly on the inside edge, I almost thought that maybe they were rubbing on the strut but they aren't... What would cause the wear like that? ANyone know? I'm so p1ssed right now! BTW, they are Yokohama ES100's 17" if that matters.

A common problem is too much negative caster on the front wheels. That can cause inside edge wear on the front tires. On my car it made about a one inch stripe that was worn while the rest of the tire still had a lot of material remaining.

Those that did the alignment on it kept claiming that it was from too much toe out.

Problem finally fully resolved from installing camber kits and reducing negative camber.

If you have some alignment readings (recent or from the past), please post them so we can make a better assessment.

Thanks Jim,

I haven't had an alignment since i got the rims (is that bad?)
I'll llok into the camber kit in the spring, since I'm gonna do the suspension (BAT kit), but mine do have about a 1" wide are of wear as well.

Yes you should get your alingment checked everysummer. its not that expensive. Trust me I would get my alingment checked once a year, its cheaper than buying new tires. Plus if you have correct alightment its less stress on the car and better gas mileage.

You need to read your link a little better. Underinflation will not cause edge wear on one side only. It may be a contributing factor, but it won't be the main factor. Look a little lower on the page on your link.
