Ok guys, my very attractive neighborette needs some help. There is a slapping noise coming from her engine, top, passenger side under a black cover which is where I believe the the cam gears are. Is this the timing belt underneath? And could it be the problem?

Any and all help is great since I don't have any real knowledge on the Zetec's.

Thanks,
Mike

I'm not very familiar with the Zetec, but I'm going to say the timing belt is stretched out and slapping the top of the cover would be my first guess.

yeah, I'm thinking the same. I was doing some reading on the Zetec maintenance forum and it does seem like the timing belt. It also seems like a fairly easy project to do. I just need a cam tool and some extra hands. Can I get any takers to help out? Free beer to be had!!!!!!
