Wow. I read the whole post.
This guy has way more money than we on here do though...or that are willing to spend on our cars. Insane what creativity, time and cash can do huh?

Crazy about the heads needing to be retorqued. Never heard of anyone needing to do that after a heat cycle. Glad he figured out the issue before pulling the entire engine. He should have more power than that I think. I think he's just playing it really safe. Wonder what he did with the trans? I heard stock mentioned in regards to the tq converter but that was about it.

Good lord, welcome to yesterday.

The truck has been sold and is now in FL I believe....

Yes it was a VERY conservative tune. Frank5L ran 10.70 on a STOCK LONG BLOCK with a single turbo, stock trans I believe (minus t/c) and about 60k on the motor. About a month ago it gave up.

Shock's truck has/had a stock tranny in it, but the new owner was planning on a BTS tranny.

Wow. That was one insane build on a fine truck. I am a little jealous I wish I had the money and great ideas to build such a beast too. I definitly know how it feels to tear down things after you put in hard work. Sucks. Nice find........

That was a really good read. It's gotta be nice to have insane amounts of cash for your hobbies.

I think it's kinda funny that he is using the same software to tune his twin-turbo 1000HP monster that we use to tune our 'tours. Kinda gives you a warm fuzzy feeling. Heck, after looking in that engine bay, he could probably fit three Zetecs side-by-side. That engine was HUGE.

why does ford use a smaller chain to drive the intake cam on each head. and one big one to run the exaust cams. Would there be any benefit to alter only the intake cam timing and not the exaust?

And look at those intake ports. I could stick my hand down one.

Doesn't it just have a smaller chain linking the intake and exhaust cams, and a larger chain connecting each side to the crank?
