Help me out with this, please. I thought it'd be smart to get an old set of usable winter tires/rims on. I can't get the front passenger wheel off All lugs are off, as well as the anti-theft rig in the middle. I thought WD40, but by the brake discs? Doesn't sound smart to me.. Suggestions?

BFH or my favorite (though probably only able to do this with the car on a lift), put a lug nut on and then kick the crap outta the back of the wheel.

Put the lug nuts back on, not too tightly and drive 10 feet or so. That might help get it loose.

Will do first thing in the morning, I'll wiggle the wheels left and right slightly as well and see if it'll "crack" loose. Damn, never thought of that

Like has been suggested , when it happens to me (hasn't happened on my 'Tour yet) , I'll put the lugs on a few turns & kick that bugger !! Just please make sure the car's secure (i.e. have a jackstand or 2 under there - just in case) when you start kicking . You should be able to kick it from the outside of the wheel to bust it loose , so you're not under the car when you're kicking . Kick the tire , not the wheel (leverage ) . Try it out , it usually works .

That sounds like a terrible idea...I'd just kick it. Always worked for me.

That's why you put a dab of anti-seize on the rotor hat.

Grab a long 2X4 and brace it against a strong part of the suspension, pry on the tire from the back side. Should come off easy.
