I took this idea from another regional forum that has had moderate success with a "local" classifieds to buy/sell items. I know there are a few local CEGers 9including myself) with large/bulky items that they would prefer to sell locally. We'll give it a trial run and see how it goes.

I have a Mirko front splitter for sale, it is primed and ready to be painted. no cracks...would like to sell locally due to uneconomical size...Please email with any other questions.

I know they are not Contour parts, but I am selling almost everything from a 2001 Taurus. Bought the car cause it was totalled for the 3.0L swap. The car/everything on it ran perfectly until it was rear-ended. I have claim on the engine, everything else is for sale. 2001 Taurus SES All body panels in very good shape, in front of the trunk at least All glass is good Power Windows Automatic tranny (was recently flushed) Airbags did not go off, they are good Seats, etc all for sale If you need any parts for your "other" car, or know someone who needs some parts, no reasonable offer will be refused. Well, I bought this car a few weeks ago (I had owned it years ago, and bought it back from the guy I sold it from) with the intentions of fixing it up and driving it. It has a new shortblock from Ford installed not too long ago, and a new clutch. I have the receipts totalling over $5,000 from the dealership (along with many others). The transmission was checked out while the car was in the shop and was found to be fully functional. The car was in the body shop up until a day ago, it had just finished getting all the dings taken out. There are some primer spots on it, but it's ready for paint. I can get it painted if you're interested in it. It's sitting on 19" Axis Sevens. Has a nice Panasonic radio. Also has ST200 struts and Roush springs. The front bumper has a crack in it, but I have a new (used) one in good condition ready to go on it when you get it painted. There is an exhaust system on it, a Y pipe w/ high flow cat, to custom piping, exiting with two magnaflow mufflers. A very nice sound! Anyway - the bad news is there is a wiring problem under the hood, it appears some of the harness is cracking and dry rotting. However, the car runs great. I've driven it around, but I wouldn't recommend driving it home. I could probably deliver it if you were semi-local and paid for gas; my friend has a truck and a trailer. The chassis has around 151k on it. Those of you know how much this thing is worth in parts alone, and it could easily be running 100% reliably pending you fix the wiring problem.
This is the perfect vehicle for someone who is interested in putting a little work into it to get it running, or looking for donor parts. Make an offer. Pictures are available if interested. Located in Richmond, VA.
