so I have a hollowed cat, a leaking flex pipe and general rust all over, until right after the flew it goes into SVT exhaust... won't pass inspection obviously because the catylist is well below threshold.. also, NYS now requires that the PCM be plugged into the compuer - no longer run on dyno, so instead of shelling out 100 bucks to have i tpassed, if that's possible still, I want to replace the cat, flex... looking for a simple solution that isn't going to break the bank. ideas on possible manifold, cat, flex pipe solutions?? muchos gracias

So do they run it on the rollers or just plug into the OBD-2 port? In WI, they only plug into the OBD-2 port. As long as the car's PCM is happy, you pass with flying colors.

Is your check engine light on after gutting the cat? I'm guessing so.

You have two options to make your PCM happy. Replace your gutted cat/bad flex, with one from your local junkyard. Your other option is to get a MIL eliminator. The MIL eliminator will only work if there is NO visual inspection. If the DMV sees that your bypassing the emissions systems, it could mean fines.

i have no resonator.. should I put on back in, or get a whole spanking new xhaust or something?
