Now, Lance.. look back ten years.. to the day you got it..

Did you, once, stop and think, "Gee.. I think I'll make a website about this car.. maybe 12,000 people will join it, too!!!"

Again, I am so thankful that you took those steps back then, and that you are allowing it to continue, even now.

Here's to a wonderfully underappreciated platform, and those that are able to see them for what they are...

To be honest, Lance, I never thought you were going to keep the car this long ... Christy used to hint that a Subaru was in your future, about three years ago. Congrats for keeping it ... being the first owner .. amazing!

I think you should keep it forever ... you've had it so long now

It's ironic that in this case a manufacturer made the best car in the first year of production!

It probably has to do with OBD I and II. Us OBD II Contours have more CEL codes to deal with.

Yeah. Ignorance is bliss.

My 10th anni comes up in January, but I think my car was already built by the time Lance bought his. (Sep 95 build date.) I just ticked over 75k.

I think I found CEG sometime in 1998. It was after the Contour-L mailing list days, but it was a pretty primitive BB.

Ahh. Memories.

Now those are memories. First time I remember opening my mailbox to find like 126 emails in 24 hours. Then I switched to digest format lol

But those were the days. I remember Lance, Ray McNairy, and others who just loved these cars.

the car definately has to have something special for an owner to keep it for ten years ... great job and as others have said thank you for this site, it is a great resource

and on a side not, I got my 95 Mystique in 2000 but it has a September 94 build date

it still purs away and handle 165 miles a day like it was new and it has 160k on it and I got it with 83k
