So the first real snow came last night. First it was rain, then it changed to kind of an ice rain mix and then to all out snow. We really didn't get that much here in Brainerd but OMG ws it slippery as all hell. I drove home from the bolling alley at around 12:30 and there was no one in site and just roads covered with snow and ice. So winter is finally here and I'm not excited. Oh yea, I came out from work and 3 of my 4 doors were frozen shut. Thats just sad.

It could be worse, all 4 doors could have been frozen shut! We got the same thing here last night but the temps were slightly warmer so the rain switched almost directly to snow which made everything slushy. Of course then it froze overnight which was fun this morning.

Yah, winter is my favorite season too. We got about 4 inches here in Duluth, less if you go by the lake. Parts of Northwest Wisconsin got over a foot. And, oh yeah, wind chills last night of about -15. More snow on Friday too!!

I've used that lock de-icer before and it didn't seem to really work. I used it when it was cold but not that cold and it did but last year when it was like -20 for a month it didn't work at all.
