After some searching I have found that it's almost impossible to find someone to do a complete paint job. I was refered to Bob's autobody in Provo and he didn't want to do it, so he refered me to Atkinsons body shop. He want's $3500 bucks to do it. The issue I have with that is I paid $3500 for the car and the NADA book value is $4125 to $5750.

Does anyone know of a good body shop that will do a complete for around $2000?

Woody's in Provo...talk to Jason (he's the owner) Tell him Taylor sent you (if he doesn't know tell him the guy that has the contour, had the porsche and 4runner) He'll know. My bro-in-law just had his car fixed there...awesome work and great price too. He only charges like 30-35/hr as opposed to most that charge 70+/hr

if you want cheap paint - you get cheap labor. the paint is almost always a very minimal part of the paint job. The money is in the prep and finish work. Spend not enough in those areas and no matter what paint you use you end up having a bad paint job.

carry on

I know...my uncle owns a body shop...but this guy Jason...does really good work. He just really does give a good deal...although sometimes it's hard to get in there...I don't know that he actually has anyone else that works there.

Thanks for the tip. I went down there today, he's a nice guy. He doesn't do complete repaints anymore, it's hard to find anyone that will. I would just have the parts that are dented fixed and blended but every single panel (including, top, trunk, hood, bumper covers etc.) needs body work.
Now I don't know if I should keep it or sell it now.

really? hmmm...I think Scott (Horse) had a friend in Payson, but I don't know he'd do it either...I know there isn't much money in it. (That's why less and less people are doing it)

How much do you want to sell it for?

he doesnt do body - he does paint.

I do know of someone that does very good body work - but he DOES charge for it - so I dont think he will do work on a budget.
