What do you guys think of these? here's how it's supposed to work:
99 CSVT-Tropic Green - MSDS Headers, Trubenz Catback, Sho-shop Y-pipe, K&N with Mirko connector, Mirko Splitter, Superchip, Pillar & Guages, Aussie Sun Shade.

When you are using it it would actual make you lose some power from the turbulence it would create.
Seriously - unless you're a hardcore drag-strip guy - it's a waste of money.

That's what I was figuring, but I thought the concept was kind of cool. The noise coming out of the car would be obnoxious.

yeah, the word on the street is that these are somewhat common among serious drag guys. I guess this is the rice-tastic version complete with .GIF animation.

I know a few Grand Am guys that have had these and had them go bad with water, salt, etc. Its a cool idea, but I'll stick with the three wingnuts on my cutouts block-off plate. And, as somebody eluded to, a cutout in the wrong place can really hurt power. Defintely sounds badass though, I've set off car alarms with my cutout open. Certainly going to have to have one for the SVT once I own it.
Current Ride: 1998 Contour SVT - T-Red, Res. Delete, K&N under the hood, broken side skirt at passenger rear jackpoint.
Its FOR SALE, see the classifieds.

Hell Ive set of plenty of car alarms without a cutout! Seems the frequency right off of idle is perfect for those alarm sensors.

I know a guy running a '95 Intrepid who swears by these, though He has a fully custom exhaust behind it anyways, so it's probably only giving him more noise.
