Hey people I got a 98 contour se. It got the Zetec engine in it and I just got it. I am about to start doing stuff to it. I just wanted to know what u guys think I should do. I want to get a new exhaust setup with 2.5 in pipe with a free flow cat and an hks muffler. I was thinking of doing duals on it with two hks muffler. I am just here to see what u guys think and after that where should I go from there or should I wait for the exhaust system and get something else THz for your time George

First off welcome to CEG. This is the best site on the planet for our cars. If its one thing i have learned since joining CEG is to make your car yours. It just depends on what you like. The exhaust sounds good that you have in mind. You can also search in asthetics and you will get tons of ideas.Good luck and welcome.

Methinks you need GNX/Monte Carlo SS style exhausts...

Dark Color.... First mod, clay bar, second Klasse AIO polish, third P21S carnuba wax, all available in my sig.
Then I would go for the SVT exhaust with the stock resonator in place and the rear mufflers removed. There are some vids of my old Zetec around here somewhere.
Them start on the interior. Paint those dash pieces, LED window swithes. All this should be pretty cost efficient and get that mod bug started for ya'....

1) get a bottle of simple green automotive or castrol auto degreaser(purple bottle), a bucket of water, stack of clean rags, and Clean the engine!! 2) do this 3) wheels and suspension, don't bother cleaning the outside as your car will still look like poo(no ofense most contours do) without these. 4) follow the above directions about clay bar and what not
