I remember a while back someone posted a link to some drain plug valve things, that you could use instead of the regular oil plug. They allow to drain the oil by pulling a small lever thing, not having to unscrew it to get the oil out and other fluids?
Hope this makes sense. Matt

Fram Sure Drain. Part #SD2 for Zetec I4 (and #SD4 for Duratec V6). It is sold at Advance Auto (around $12 or so).

Ditto. Anything that involves vital fluids, a valve to make things easier, and less than $15 sounds like a cheap-0 part to me. I'll stick with my normal drain plug, it isn't that hard to do.

Damn right, thats what people do too! Someone did that to my autoshop teacher who owns a Tahoe... "OH these make it easy to change your own oil!" Few days later, he has oil on the ground of his SUV

I simply don't trust anything with the name FRAM on it. FRAM Go ahead and check out the other reviews of the exploded filters. This e-mail is from an Allied Signal production engineer. Allied Signal Inc. is the manufacturer behind the creation of FRAM filters.

Actually, Allied-Signal WAS the manufacturer...the FRAM brand is now owned by Honeywell Consumer Products...they recently packed up the whole FRAM operation and moved it from Providence RI to Danbury CT. Don't know what happened to all the employees, but I can imagine a lot of people probably didn't want to relocate their families...BOO HISS on Honeywell...
As a recovering FRAM-aholic, I now use nothing but Motorcraft filters on Ford products and WIX or NAPA Gold (they're the same thing) on any other car I care about. I use SuperTech filters from Wally World on the hoopty, they're actually quite good for an inexpensive filter used for a short (3-5k) OCI.
