Yeah, SleeperZ can give you much more information on this one, but most short ram-style intakes from Focus fit on late-model Contours. Am not sure about the Coldies tho. It would probably be cheaper and possibly more effective if you made your own from scratch. It really isn't as difficult as it seems. In fact, SleeperZ has a pretty good FAQ on how to do a pretty good setup. It should be stickied in the main Zetec Performance Forum. I made my custom intake for like $18 reusing many parts. With a little time and not too much money, you can have something unique to your car, which, if you ask me, is so much cooler in the long run.

You can check the sticky post "SleeperZ Intake How To" for my personal recomendation.
That aside, any short ram intake for any Zetec will fit.
The actual cold air intake will need modifying as the Focus, Cougar, Contour do not have the same dimensions.
So required pipe lengths will be different from car to car.
An extra piece of pipe (or two) and an extra silicone coupler (or two) is all you'll need.
My attitude; buy one and mod to fit.

If you're willing to do that carolina, and I think you should, listen to sleeper. If that's too much, check my sig, I'm parting with mine.

A actual cold air intake is not located in the engine bay. Because it takes in hot air that the engine produces. An actuall cold air intake is one that takes cold air in like the sleeperz intake that takes air in from the wheel well.

I use KKM filter with shop vac hose and scoop for cold air. Kinda ram air style. Cooler air forced through the hose to filter. It seems to keep them temps down a lot. I can idle to temp. gauge needle in the middle. but once i start driving temps drop off pretty fast. But maybe something else is wrong with my car. Can the temp gauge change that dramtically. It runs on the cold side whle driving always.

Matt
