Yes, my cousin lives in HI. and there are small planes and helos making hops all the time. A quick google will probably get you some good info. I've been to HI. many times, do not miss the Pearl Harbor Memorial.

im too poor to go to HI

i dont remember which island it was on, a heavily tourist-populated one, but an article i read advised to leave the windows in the rental car rolled down. in this particular area thieves will break into rental cars to take tourists' belongings. in other words, dont leave anything of value in the car

ive also read that on some islands it is wise to rent a Jeep wrangler if you plan to drive around the countryside.

have fun!

I'm flying out of NYC, our airfare is free (mileage) so what we're paying for is hotel and food. (flight is booked)

I just booked a flight from Maui to Honolulu, we're going to spend one day in Honolulu to go see Pearl Harbor and whatever else afterwards.

We'll have 5 days in Maui and two nights in Honolulu

Now I just need to find a hotel on the beach at both Islands.

Thanks for all your help and input.
