how would one know it is time to change your wire set?
I have tried pulling off each wire while the car is running and all seem to be working fine...however the spark seems to be weak.
any ideas?

That is an inadequate test. If you have a weak spark, you would have an engine miss. In the absence of an engine miss, your spark is probably fine.

There seems to be an engine miss. When the car is idling, it comes to a point where u might think it will shut off, but if never shuts off.
I had replaced the spark plugs a year back, but that didnt solve the problem.
