Wow, good question.
The headers are very well hidden in the engine bay so a visual check by a CHP officer would net you no ticket.
Now if they managed to look under the car to see if you had removed your main cat, you may end up with a ticket but I find this scenario highly doubtful.
Many members run headers and have passed smog in Cali, so no worries if you only plan on visiting Cali.

As long as you retain the main cat, you should have no problem passing emissions, however it is technically illegal.
Btw, welcome to the site. I drive through Calexico at least a few times per year on the way to my GF's house in San Felipe.

We live together in San Diego, but she has a house down there. Come on now Dub, you knew that... I talk about going down there all the time. I think you've even seen some pics...

k ovo paisa! hmm i was born in Mexicali, well if the car is registered in Mexico, it does not matter if it is legal here in cali. CHP cannot enforce emission vehicle code for a car that is not registered in this state. so you should only worry about mexico, and i really dont think this will keep you up at night. we can speak the spanish if u like
