I can't say I agree because cleaning up the abomination that was the Spurrier administration isn't going to happen over night. He's having to break all the bad habits instilled.
As for Ramsay, I can't say I was ever sold on him being a great QB, passable at best. I think Brunell does give the team the best chance to succeed. I would like to see Campbell asap.
Gibbs one three super bowls. Only one was with what would be considered a memorable QB. Most of his teams where great due to solid D and a good O line!

It all starts at the top, and the problem is Snyder. It is not on Gibbs shoulders because Snyder pulls all the behind the scene strings. Gibbs is merely a puppet. The Redskins best season since Snyder is with Norv T. and they did well only because Snyder was so new to ownership and didn't have his little greedy hands into everything yet.

I agree our ultimate problem is Snyder! But that is the least likely element to change. Gibbs is supposed to have a Parcell's like deal. A one year turn around from Spurrier is unrealistic.

Gibbs is no one's puppet. If you think he is, you don't know jacksquat about him.  Again, I'll restate the fact that the same one's on Gibbs' balls saying he would make the team 9-7 or better and playoffs are now making all kinds of excuses. And of course no one wanted to put money where their mouth was. Yes, Gibbs won three Super Bowls - in a completely different era. Almost nothing is the same since he last coached - hence my apprehension when he was hired and why I didn't hop on the bandwagon like the guys at the pub did.

Nah, I have the utmost respect for Gibbs. It's the bandwagoners who were yelling "9-7/10-6 playoffs!" when he was hired that I have something against.

Hate to bust your bubble, but anyone working for Snyder is a puppet...even Gibbs. Yes he has an ironclad contract, but at the end of the day he is EMPLOYED by Snyder. Not the other way around. Even the mighty Gibbs is vunerable to a greedy bas tard like Snyder.
Yes Snyder has made a lot of money, but at the end of the day does anyone really care how much money Snyder makes. I don't see him sharing his wealth, nor should he. He got rich by being greedy and rutheless...oh and his father bailing him out of several failed business ventures.
Do I respect Gibbs...ABSOLUTELY. He could take the team to 2-14 and I would still respect and admire him. As long as you have an owner who knows very little about football, you will have a bad team. For those talking about how much money Snyder had generated off of the Skins' don't get confused because I am not comparing the teams win loss success with their financial success at all. They are two different points. Snyder has been a financial success with the Skins, but not a winning success when it comes to games.
