I would seriously relocate those lower brackets as the stress the Mirko is under will slowly cause the paint to start crazing which will suck!

Staz, can you explain what you mean a little better? How should we have these brackets installed for a proper install? I'm still waiting for mine to get here but when I do I want to have a proper install.

thanks

I know what he means..the three metal brackets that came with the spliiter arent alligned properly onto my mirko causing some tension spots. I will rectify this problem as soon as I can..I planned on it sooner or later..thanks for the heads up stazi

I wish they came like pre-drilled, make life easier..

does anyone elses Mirko need ALOT of body work done before sending off to paint? Mine has some tiny holes in the gel coat as well as needing ALOT of sanding, even the edges (where it touches the wheel well) needs trimmed b/c the fiberglass is not cut straight and extends past the gel coat.

Just wondering if this is normal.

thanks

I still haven't opened my box yet... I figured I'd do it in the Spring when I install it.

Yes, mine does as well. I also noticed that the lip that overhangs the lower part of the facia (bottom of the grill area) doesn't match all that great either - I have about a 3/8" gap on one side, and a 1/8" gap on the other side.
