my car used to be able to start up and go after a day of sitting, now i have to let it warm up before i go, it almost dies when i give it gas......after that it is fine all day.....what could be wrong.....plugs and wires are fairly new.
try cleaning the IAC and the throttle bore. They say 'DO NOT CLEAN' but clean it anyway. make sure you disconnect the battery afterwards for about 10-15 min before you start the car, then let it idle in drive/auto trans nuetral/manual trans for 5-10 min with all loads off (a/c headlights etc). It is also possible the IAC just quit working, and needs to be replaced. There are many other possibilites but those are the most likely causes.
In addition, clean the MAF sensor, check the air filter, change fuel filter if it hasn't been changed in 2 years. To re-learn the PCM, pull Fuses 4 and 11.
